“Diibiisku~Nibi: ‘We Are All Connected By Water’ – A Grassroots Community Media Campaign”
Fall Grant Award: $5,500
Project Summary:

The “Nibi” campaign (pronounced “knee-be”) will expand that organizing to the airwaves of public radio throughout Wisconsin and the Internet, thus benefiting other environmental organizations by “getting the word out” about protecting water resources. SBN currently broadcasts on six public radio stations throughout the region and live stream on the Internet. “Nibi” Campaign will allow expansion of this coverage, because stations will not be paying a fee for the programs. This “Nibi” Campaign will help environmental organizations “get a foot in the door” because they will be able to have SBN cover their issues and broadcast them for free.
