Water for Life Community and Youth Stewardship Campaign
Spring Project Grant Award: $2500
Project Summary:
EMEAC will organize meetings with Detroit community social, environmental, and environmental justice organizations to discuss and promote how the community can be an advocate for urban water issues. Workshops will make the larger connection of the struggle for access to water and the issues of privatization to larger state and global water protection issues. Connections will be made between local urban issues, public utility privatization issues, and stewardship of the Great Lakes.
