Project Title: Wetland Monitoring and Preservation (Eastern Georgian Bay)
Fall Grant Award: $2500
Project Summary:

The project will establish an "Adopt a Wetland" monitoring program to baseline and track changes to wetlands along the eastern and northern coasts of Georgian Bay. This program is being created and executed by local community volunteers in conjunction with Dr. Pat Chow-Fraser, a biologist from McMaster University. The purpose of this project is to educate and actively involve members of the community, to gather original and ongoing data on the health of local wetlands and to provide input to broader studies.
